Kim Kardashian Plans To Run For Mayor Of Glendale, California

California, get ready for another celebrity campaign for office. Kim Kardashian has announced her intentions to be mayor of Glendale, California, and plans to run for the position in about five years. Ryan Seacrest, who produces her family’s reality shows including “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” released an unaired video clip from her sister’s E! reality show, “Khloe & Lamar.”


In it, the pair are driving around Dallas looking for a parking spot when Kim reveals her future political plans.

“I decided I’m going to run for the mayor of Glendale,” Kim says in the video clip.

“I’m going to be the mayor of Dallas,” Khloé responds, joking about the city where her husband Lamar Odom played basketball for the Mavericks. The NBA star was recently placed on the inactive list.

But Kim appears to be serious, as she tells her sister how she wants to buy a house in the southern California city, so she can have residency to be eligible for office. Kim also added that she expects to run in five years, which would be 2017.

The 31-year-old entertainment figure said her close friend and business associate Noelle Keshishian will help run Kim’s campaign and determine what requirements are needed to run for mayor in Glendale.

According to The  Hollywood Gossip, Kim may have an advantage as the city of 190,000 people has a strong Armenian population with one in four residents being of Armenian descent, which her father was.

Kim Kardashian, whose career launched with a sex tape filmed with R&B singer Ray J, has built her empire with successful reality shows, modeling, clothing lines, makeup, and even a book with her sisters, Khloé and Kourtney.

The socialite is also well known for her high-profile relationships including a 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries and currently is believed to be dating rapper Kanye West.
